Well, since I have already been banned, I may as well snark away. The mods at bakebakebake are losing their shit about snarking and have pre-emptively banned anyone involved in a snarking community. Awesome job, guize! http://community.livejournal.com/bakebakebake/1396133.html?nc=6 ps. This has inspired me and now I will pimp: srsbzns_bakingBecause baking and snark is really fucking serious.
Ooooh, I wonder if this means I've been banned too. Would be a first for me.And gee, I wonder what brought this one, could it possibly be someone getting a bit butthurt about being featured in domestic snark?
I think it was that red velvet cake that ended up being a pink velour mess.I am pretty butthurt that they didn't give us the option of leaving snark communities before bringing down the ban hammer. So, as a result, I am now going to snark the ever loving shit out of that community.
I wonder if they'll ban the OP of fuchsia what the fuck cake since she joined in on the snark. It would also be nice if they remembered that their ever so sweet and supportive members weren't being all that supportive in the post itself either.
I was wondering what might have set them off.Sheesh.I'm just waiting to see if I get banned.
One of the members who claims to *love* domestic snark apparently doesn't love it so much when they make fun of her failures.
Yeah, obviously not. Now, I've two different people telling me that no one will be banned unless they snark someone on the community. Nice backpedal. Good thing I screencapped the post.
The funny thing is she's saying it was because people were snarking her in DS but uh, BBB members were not being supportive either so I think it's rather stupid to just single out the ones who participated in that post. And she was responding to all the comments too so she should be banned as well.
ps, if you can still comment there, you should ask why people weren't given a warning or a chance to repent from their snark communities before being banned. (See, I really am butthurt! I only ever comment in that community with a suggestion or a tip so, I feel unjustly banned.)
Won't this just encourage people to use sockpuppets?
bakebakebake is the new vaginapagina
SAXYMOFO, what have you done to that poor innocent baking community, woman?
It wasn't even me this time! I swear!! It was that goddamned pink cake!
they just went through all their members profiles and deleted people with snark comms?i think someone is lacing the brownies, guise.
I'm pretty sure it's that they deleted anyone who replied to the post in DS. Since people in Sf and SF_D didn't get banned.Again, I certainly hope the butthurt crybaby got banned for participating.
I swear I want to start a srs bzns baking community now.
It would be so awesome if you could use radioactive fuchsia WTF cake for the layout of that comm.
What cake? I missed something.
If you look at domestic snark on page two of the comments on the first entry there's a link to one of the chicks baking disasters.Short version, she tried making red velvet cake twice. First time she subbed vanilla soy milk for the buttermilk and chocolate pudding mix for the cocoa.Second time she talked to "baking experts" who told her cocoa was just for color so she should use more food coloring. Used butter instead of oil.Her first cake was mauve and brown on the outside, second was bright fucking fuchsia and beigey on the bottom.
It was a red velvet cake that the OP didn't use cocoa or oil in and it was bright fucking pink because apparently Canadian dye is all weird. People were like....uh...that's not a red velvet cake and she insisted everyone thought it was a delicious red velvet cake. Yeah. Seriously. That's it.
But, but, but 8 whole people had a slice!! EIGHT! They must have thought it was just like red velvet too!
Wait, what? Isn't red velvet cake, by definition, a CHOCOLATE cake?
Not according to "expert bakers" who advised this poor girl in her baking disaster. Apparently cocoa is now a tasteless additive that isn't required in certain cakes. I guess chocolate cake only needs the cocoa to get that nice brown colour. The chocolate taste clearly comes from the reaction of the vanilla and the eggs....
Whoa, wait. Canadian dye is all weird? Because I have made red velvet cake lots of times and the colouring came out perfect. Then again I know how to follow a recipe too. ;)
